If Pakistani cinema and television have a dependable centre of gravity, it might be Humayun Saeed. In a career spanning more than three decades, he has been a leading man, a producer, and one of the industry's steadiest commercial forces.

Quick facts

  • Born: 27 July 1971
  • Profession: Actor, producer
  • Known for: Meray Paas Tum Ho, Love Guru, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani films
  • Studio: Founder of the production house Six Sigma Plus
  • Awards: Lux Style Awards and ARY Film Awards, among others

An actor who describes himself as a student

Saeed has often called himself a method actor, and his approach has produced a long run of characters that audiences remember by name. On television, his turn in Meray Paas Tum Ho (2019) became one of the most-watched dramas in Pakistani history and a genuine television event.

Behind the camera

He also runs Six Sigma Plus, a production house behind television serials and commercial films, which has made him one of the most influential figures in the business. The Jawani Phir Nahi Ani films, which he headlined, are among the biggest hits of Pakistani cinema's modern era.

Love Guru and the next chapter

In 2025 he starred opposite Mahira Khan in the romantic comedy Love Guru, which became the biggest commercial success of the year and set new box-office benchmarks for Pakistani cinema. It was a reminder that his instincts, in front of the camera and behind it, remain as sharp as ever.

He is one of the few figures in the industry who has shaped both the shows people watch and the business that makes them possible, and he shows no sign of slowing down.
