Ahsan Khan has been working in front of cameras since he was sixteen, which means his career now spans three decades, two industries and almost every genre Pakistani screen has to offer.
Quick facts
- Born: 9 October 1981
- Profession: Actor, producer, television host
- Known for: Udaari, Fraud, and a long list of popular serials and films
The films first
Khan began with the 1998 film Nikah and went on to appear in films including Billi, Ghar Kab Aao Gay, Sultanat, Ishq Khuda and Dil Mera Dhadkan Teri before television became his mainstay. The pivot worked: he became one of the most recognisable faces on the small screen within a few seasons.
The roles that changed the conversation
Udaari (2016) gave him one of the most divisive characters of his career, an antagonist that audiences loved to hate, and showed a darker range under the charm that had defined his earlier work. Fraud (2022) kept him at the centre of prime time and demonstrated his comic timing and control in equal measure.
Host with the most
Hosting is a parallel career: he fronted the quiz show Hayya Allal Falah and has spent years leading Ramadan transmissions on PTV Home, a role that has made him part of the country's evenings.
His willingness to change lanes is exactly what has kept him on the road this long.
