Shuja Asad is one of the new generation of Pakistani television actors who arrived fully formed. In just a few years he has moved from supporting work to leading one of 2026's most-watched dramas, and the industry has clearly decided he is here to stay.

Quick facts

  • Profession: Actor, model
  • Known for: Khaie (2024), Aye Ishq e Junoon (2024), Tan Man Neel O Neel (2024), Doctor Bahu (2026)

A fast learner

Asad's television career took off in 2024 with three dramas in a single year: Khaie, a story rooted in revenge and tribal custom, Aye Ishq e Junoon, and Tan Man Neel O Neel. Each required something different, and he delivered a different version of himself in each.

Leading Doctor Bahu

In 2026 he took the lead opposite Kubra Khan in Doctor Bahu, one of the biggest dramas of the season. Carrying a primetime show at this point in a career is rare, and the performance has made him one of the most followed young actors in the country.

The model turned actor

Asad also works as a model, and his screen presence carries the polish of someone comfortable in front of cameras since long before the cameras knew his name. But the reason to watch him is simpler than that: he listens on screen, which is the hardest skill of all.

The next few years will decide what kind of leading man he becomes. The start could hardly be stronger.
